angle. we'll hear from local leaders, metro, homeowners, but first we have the new 11:00 forecast from the national hush center. sue palka is in the weather -- hurricane center. sue palka is in the weather center pour over it now. >> they're -- pouring over it now. >> they're definitely talking about this taking over the characteristics of the hybrid storm it is predicted to become. they keep it as a category 1 hurricane and it's moving faster now to the north at 10 miles per hour. so that picked up a small amount of forward motion, but they think the center has been wobbly a little bit as we've gone overnight. in the short term the track has shifted slightly to the east in the next, oh, say 24 to 48 hours. after that they still keep that hard westward motion as it likely will still make a landfall somewhere around delaware, southern new jersey. so the track essentially in the later hours did not change very much. it is well inland. you can see there tuesday at 8:00 with 50-mile an hour winds in south central pennsylvania and it moves up to new york state by wednesday evening with stro

local mall is back open after yesterday's bomb scare. it happened during the lunch rush at the boston common mall in arlington. witnesses say a man threw a bottle filled with something that smelled like gasoline from an upper floor. luckily, the molltive cocktail didn't detonate. the suspect fled, but police found and arrested him later. the fbi has not identified the suspect, but says charges will be filed soon. there is still no word on a motive. >>> police in howard county are asking the public's help finding this man. he's accused of secretly videotaping two women inside their home. take a look at this video. police say this is the suspect setting up the hidden camera inside the women's ellicott city condo. they don't know who he is or how he got inside. investigators say the man went into the condo several times to move the camera around. if you recognize him, police want to hear from you. >>> federal health officials say the fungus found in tainted steroid shots does indeed match the one linked to the meningitis outbreak. that also confirms a link to the new england compounding

pressure falling, it is continuing to do its thing. there is your radar. that is a local look. want to mention that our rain, which has been light in places has become steadier here in the last couple of hours and will become heavy during the early- morning hours. notice the yellow starting to get across the bay. that is pushing off to the north and west. we have very heavy rain down towards cambridge, parts of southern maryland now getting in on the heavy rain. all of that is headed to the north and west. so the first part of this storm will be the rain. it will be picking up in intensity here and be extremely heavy during times for our monday. the wind which have been gusting to about 30 here in washington are going to steadily pick up as well. let's look at the bigger picture and take another look at the storm. there you go. all systems go here unfortunately for landfall across southern new jersey, perhaps the bay of delaware. we'll be feeling the effects all day today and all day tomorrow. it will be slow to weaken because it is a hybrid. it is not just deriving its energy from

high winds extends out far. >> want to talk about radar here locally, because some bands of heavy rain getting ready to moven through. we're going to spotlight them for you here. >> this yellow band pushed through baltimore. it's still pushing through baltimore, and we know that not only is this where the heavy bands of rain are, but this is where the heavy winds are. as you begin to feel more intensity with the rain outside your house or whatever, you're also going to notice that the winds will kick up as well. and i suspect we are beginning now to transition into where anytime now, these wind gusts could be 60 plus. as the storm is. along the eastern shore just into delaware, this line of yellow, the moderate showers out there will really contain the highest winds we'veseen so far. so give them a couple more hours to come on through. i think that's when we'll begin to get more reports of 60 plus miles per hour wind gusts -- these are just gusts. a better way to say that would be occasional gusts within the bands moving on through. and all these bands now are rotating around the
